We are so excited to announce our annual Spring Fling at Fractured Earth Tile and Stone! Stop by April 13, 2012 anytime between 4:00-7:00 pm to meet some of the wonderful tile artisans we work with. You will also get to see new products, learn interesting facts and gather many inspiring ideas to help with your designs!

The Cats Day team selected World Care for the 2012 “UA Extreme Non-Profit Makeover” because of the amazing work they accomplish with limited resources. World Care operates from a former TUSD school—a 40,000 square foot warehouse on 9.7 acres of land—with only eight paid staff members (assisted by volunteers) responsible for carrying out day to day programs and continually responding to disasters.

On Saturday, March 3, 2012, hundreds of UA faculty, staff, and student volunteers will work together to transform World Care’s site. Volunteers will redesign the courtyard for community events (including the creation of a Ben’s Bells mural), modernize World Care’s emergency response center to also serve as a community meeting room, create educational signage, improve storage capacity, paint, clean, organize and run drives for World Care’s most needed items.

Fractured Earth Tile and Stone will donate all the tile material needed to create the mural. We are thrilled to be part of this worthy charity!

 In keeping with the success of both Fractured Earth and you, we are introducing a few new lines to our collection. Along with the Market Collection from Sonoma which we mentioned in the previous blog we are also introducing Mission Tile West. Mission Tile West specializes in fine handcrafted ceramics and terra cottas, with Mexican Colonial, Hacienda, and Spanish Revival influences. Created in the United States, Mission Tile West’s terra cotta is handmade and high fired. Their ceramics, made from the highest quality materials, combine geometric simplicity with vibrant unique colors and beautiful decorative pieces sure to complement any interior.

The 2011 ASID awards, “Desert by Design” event is quickly approaching. We are always so impressed by the amount of effort and preparation that is put into each ASID event that we can’t imagine what they have in store for us this year.  We can’t wait to see everyone in their animal chic attire! Fractured Earth has a new addition to its showroom! In January 2011 we will be introducing The Market Collection from Sonoma Tilemakers. For those of you who aren’t familiar with The Market Collection from Sonoma, this line has a variety of different products ranging from natural stone and metal coated ceramics to beautiful glass and handmade ceramics. With its unique  and extensive color pallet the market collection graces any space with versatile design options.

We would like to give special thanks to all the NARI members who participated in the Junior League of Tucson  C.A.R.E.S (Creating Appropriate Residences for Every Senior) Program. We really enjoyed being apart of this wonderful event. We spent the day pitching in to improve the safety and living conditions of some elderly residents in the community. It feels good to give back,  especially when we have so much to be thankful for. 

Fractured Earth Presents Tabarka Studio! When you get a chance please stop in and check out our new line Tabarka. For those of you who aren’t familiar with this line, Tabarka is handcrafted glazed terra cotta made in America. Its reminiscent of Spanish and Mexican colonial hacienda with beautiful patterns and colorways. Its a must see, you will love it!
